How It Works
The program relies on high-dosage tutoring to make the most gains as quickly as possible. Ideally, students and tutors meet for 1 hour sessions, 5 days per week, for 6 weeks. However, we understand it isn’t always possible to attend every day, so sessions can be scheduled 3 times per week for 10 weeks.
Evaluation: We begin an assessment of each student's reading skills. This assessment guides the creation of a personalized prescription, serving as a roadmap for the student-tutor relationship
Customized Instruction: Students receive exclusive, one-on-one, phonics-based, multisensory literacy instruction designed to cater to their unique needs and learning styles. We employ the Orton-Gillingham methodology, grounded in the science of reading.
Trained Tutors: Our tutors are certified and Tattum-trained, dedicating one hour a day, five days a week, to working closely with students. They provide either in-person or online tutoring sessions, ensuring effective literacy support.
Building on Existing Skills: Our approach focuses on building upon students' existing skills, gradually unlocking their full reading potential.
Progress Reporting: Tutors keep daily logs on student progress, so you are able to see where your student started and the gains they have made.
